The Red Stick Amateur Baseball League is a local affiliate organization to the national MSBL/MABL organization, whose members play organized and competitive
baseball around the greater Baton Rouge area and beyond. Within the RSABL you will find a wide demographic of players from around our communities, from
local business owners, doctors, lawyers, blue collar, white collar, college students, coaches, and former professional athletes; we all gather each year and
are united by a common passion for playing and enjoying the game of baseball.
The RSABL has grown to providing 5 different divisions of baseball. A summer collegiate wooden bat developmental league for college players, a wood bat men's amateur league
for guys 18 years of age or older, a open class men's senior league for guys 35 years of age or older, an fall amateur wooden bat league open to anyone 18 and older, and a competitive
travel team with players choosen from amongst our leagues.
Organizational Purpose:
The goal of the RSABL has expanded over the years. Our original goals have always been to provide baseball to a demographic that would traditionally be without following their high school, college, or professional
careers, with our men's baseball leagues. Just because a person is 18, 28. 38, 48 or over doesn’t mean that he loves baseball any less. However with our expansion into the summer collegiate league and competitive objectives in our
amateur divisions, we've also focused some of our goals towards helping young men succeed in the baseball careers beyond what time they may spend with us. The RSABL invites all men interested at any skill level to take part
and get involved, the RSABL offers something for athletes of nearly any skill level.
HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED?
Registration varies for our different divisions...however any men's league players that do not currently have a team should enter our player pool.
The Player Pool is a sort of classifieds where local players can express their desire to be contacted by a league manager. Many current players
have found their way into the league via our Player Pool.
New for 2012, all 18+ MABL division players must pay their league/registration fees before being eligible to play...if you're a prospective player or a player committed to play for one of our teams, you must pay your registration fee.
Refunds will be given to any prospective player not added to a roster by the first of the season, pro-rated refunds issued for any prospect added after season begins. Before season begins, first come first serve will get the remaining spots,
committed players will not be eligible until they are paid, prospective players will get those spots after March 2nd, so pay early and reserve your spot!
You can pay online below, or mail a check made payable to RSABL to our mailing address provided on the contact page.
